What happens when you have a passion for geek culture and a talent in making stained glass windows? You get Geek Orthodox, created by Ian Leino. I first saw Geek Orthodox at GenCon three years ago and loved all of the amazing art I saw. Growing up Catholic meant having stained glass windows as part of your culture growing up (I’m no longer practicing any faith), so it was really cool to see some of the popular culture images show up in such a specific art style like this.
Geek Orthodox has been recognized and won an award for their unique products and even secured official licenses from properties such as The Lord of the Rings™, Everdell™, Sagrada™, and more. I had a chance to talk to Ian about his journey and where they plan to go in the future, as well as their next appearance at GenCon.
