Free League Publishing, the popular Sweden-based tabletop roleplaying game company, is known for their unique TTRPGs such as Dragonbane, The One Ring, Vaesen, Coriolis, Alien, and more. I was fortunate enough to have some time with the CEO of Free League Publishing, Tomas Harenstam, to discuss the current and future projects that they are working on.
We recorded a video interview but unfortunately the video ran into technical difficulties. There is still a YouTube video of this interview that uses still images in place of our video.
In our interview, we discussed
- What is Free League Publishing
- Tomas’ origin story with tabletop roleplaying games and Free League Publishing
- Dragonbane’s success and looking ahead
- The “Setting” & Lore of Dragonbane
- What To Expect From Free League In 2025
- Creating TTRPGs with Intellectual Properties (IP)
- Behind the scenes of a TTRPG publishing company
