Over the summer, I attended Origins Game Fair in Columbus, Ohio. While I was checking out the vendor hall, I met with a group called Band Of Idiots, a team of 4 that creates unique products for tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs). One of the things at their booth that caught my eye is their Blackstone Blocks, a magnetic, 3D modular terrain set that allows you to create a 3D environment for your TTRPG battle maps.
I told them how I run a TTRPG table for my son and other kids at our local game store and we were preparing to use Daggerheart for our next campaign (Daggerheart is the latest TTRPG from Critical Role & Darrington Press). I told them how the game really encourages collaborative world building and I thought that Blackstone Blocks would be a great way for the table to do that.
We spoke about this a little more and they were gracious enough to send us a kit of their Blackstone Blocks for the kids to demo. In return, I would create a video showing off their product that they can use for their Kickstarter page.
